NM starts vaccinating patients

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) have approved the transition to Phase 1b of the COVID-19 vaccination effort. That means that Northwestern Medicine will begin inviting designated NM patients age 65 and older to be vaccinated. Invitations will be staggered according to age and ZIP code to ensure equity and efficiency.
Eligible patients will receive an invitation via their preferred communication method — text, email or phone — to schedule their vaccination appointment.
All NM patient communications, orders for vaccinations and administration will be managed at the system level. Once notified, patients who choose to receive the vaccine will be able to self-schedule their vaccination appointments using one of two methods: MyNM, powered by MyChart; or a new, custom portal.
All patient vaccinations will be conducted at an NM hospital.
For immediate vaccination information and the latest COVID-19 updates, patients should visit the COVID-19 Resource Center at nm.org/covid-19.
